Another thing - currently, ideas are assigned "unique" id's
psuedo-randomly. Therefore, there is a slim but non-zero chance of a
collision. I'd like to eliminate/reduce this chance, but I don't know
what can be done here. I could use a checksum of some system-dependant
data, the current time, and perhaps a random number, but I'm afraid that
would just complicate things without significantly reducing the chance
of collision. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
Are there any statistics on the odds of collision using various methods,
or will i have to generate my own?

-Ben
