Platform-independance is one of my goals as well. I chose wxPython over
Java because of the generally low quality of Linux JVM's (plus I already
knew Python and find it easy to quickly make prototypes). If you want
to imitate the Brain, you should be aware of Natrificial's patents (one
issued, number WO9820436, others pending). My positition is that
ThoughtStream is an implementation of a concept first put forth in
Vannevar Bush's article "As We May Think" (1945). I don't think the
patent will stand up in light of the prior art. Still, I am being
careful to avoid imitating the Brain.
