XTM is a lot more flexible than what we're doing now. In XTM, links are
first-class objects, and types are not limited to parent/chlid/jump.
You could export such a link with something like
<assoc types="PARENT_CHILD">
<assocrl role="PARENT" href="t1"/>
<assocrl role="CHILD" href="t2"/>
</assoc>
Topic Maps seem designed as a navigational overlay for existing data;
there doesn't seem to be any way to put information in the Topic Map
itself, other than the information conveyed by the associations. Is
this right? Also, is there any existing software which uses Topic Maps?
