In case you didn't know, CVS access is available to everyone (although
you need a working Palm development environment to take advantage of
it). For details, go to
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=327
(you can use the desktop version from CVS without any special tools).

You will not lose data on upgrades. If the data storage format changes
in an incompatible way, there may be an extra step to convert your data
(This will be noted prominently in the announcement). Whether you run
the desktop app or not, your data will be backed up when you hotsync.
You will find a mind_name.pdb file in your backup directory (on windows,
that's c:\palm\yourname\backup by default).
