IMO, Rebol is a very clever language design, but as Ben says, it's not open
source, so it's that much harder to distribute.

However, it's not really true that Rebol has "lots of special-purpose
syntax". The really clever part of its design is that it has almost none;
it's like a clean, logical Tcl (I hate Tcl, but like Rebol).
